Raanan Raz, PhD

Position: Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem

Raanan Raz is an environmental epidemiologist with the Braun School of Public Health, at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prof. Raz earned his B.Sc. in computer science from the Open University of Israel, an M.Sc. in medical sciences from Tel Aviv University, and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Bar Ilan University. Raanan also worked as a researcher in Maccabi Healthcare Services and the child development center in Sheba Medical Center. Later on, he spent two years in a post-doctoral fellowship with Harvard School of Public Health and one year in the Israeli Ministry of Health. His research interests include the relationship between environmental exposures and child development, climate change, and causal inference in epidemiology.
